Lougheed House - Roar: Exploring Queer History and Gender Identity

Lougheed House
Roar: Exploring Queer History and Gender Identity 2019

In 2019 I had the opportunity to work with Lougheed House, a national historic site in Calgary, in documenting and promoting two special exhibits and a variety of events as a part of Roar: Exploring Queer History and Gender Identity, a festival collaboration with Lougheed House, Big Kitty Crew, Calgary Queer Arts Society and Calgary Pride. I had a great time working with Lougheed House to create the two videos featured below.

Nine Lives: Changing Notions of Femininity Through Time

For this first promotional video, I was invited to Lougheed House to capture video of a photoshoot with members of Big Kitty Crew, an all-female arts collective, in addition to four Calgary drag performers to promote the Nine Lives exhibit, which featured photographs from the photoshoot.

Community engagement is at the heart of what we do here at Lougheed House. Check out this video to see a recent project that was the result of a collaboration between Lougheed House, Big Kitty Crew, Calgary Queer Arts Society, and Calgary Pride.
